AlertMe ramps up automated heating control with new deals

Householders will be able to remotely control their home heating and hot water via smart phones as early as next year, said technology firm AlertMe as it bought one firm and signed deals with two more.
The company today announced it had acquired an intelligent heating and hot water controls company, Wattbox, and signed deals with Invensys Controls and Deutsche Telekom so that its technology can be deployed in more households with a single set of controls.
