In December I was spending £110 a month on electric, due to AlertMe, and a general change in household awareness our bills are now down to £65 a month.

I can now get a real feel for my families consumption and weed out the worst offending devices. Measurement allows action and saving and these savings are not possible unless you can measure them. The AlertMe system and integration into Google Powermeter is really an excellent way of reducing your energy usage and associated carbon footprint. Rob Walker, Bristol
The first day with AlertMe we were using 20Kwh of electricity or £2.71 a day, that’s £84 a month. After playing around we are now hovering around 10-12Kwh or £1.43 a day. That’s almost a 50% reduction in energy used, which could reduce our bills by over £66 per year.

Managed to achieve a 19% reduction in this week's energy usage with AlertMe: 56 kWh used this week, down from 69 kWh last week. That’s going to save me about £75.50 a year if I can keep it up, and mean that I’m reducing my energy waste by 686.4 kWh per year.

When I first started using AlertMe my monthly direct debit for electricity was £59. Now that I’ve reduced the energy I use I’ve been able to bring that down to £45 and also received a very nice £92.91 refund from my supplier which easily covers the cost of the AlertMe.

Like many of you I’m a bit of a Gadget magpie and the problem with most of these devices is their energy consumption. Since buying AlertMe Energy I have been so much more conscious about my energy consumption, eliminating unnecessary standbys around the house and taking simple steps such as changing light bulbs to energy efficient alternatives and looking at energy efficiency when purchasing new gadgets.
The electricity bill arrived a couple of days ago and much to my delight it was a lot lower than Previous bills almost 20% lower. Having AlertMe has made me more aware of how much energy I am using. Seeing your energy usage and how much you’re spending in AlertMe and Google Powermeter is great but when you manage to reduce your consumption and save real money it’s very satisfying.
