How it Works
AlertMe uses a Hub which is plugged into your broadband connection and power source. All AlertMe accessories talk wirelessly to the Hub, which sends the information to the AlertMe servers, which make it available to the user via the simple web interface. It is through this interface that you can view your energy consumption, control your appliance and electricity usage remotely, monitor and control security in your home, and soon, set your heating and hot water behaviours. Using the Keyfobs’ ‘Presence’ feature you could set up your home entertainment system to automatically turn off when you leave the house just by plugging it into a SmartPlug.

Anyone can set up the AlertMe system quickly and easily. You don’t need any tools or mechanical know-how and there’s no need to get the drill out. Following our step-by-step online guide you simply plug in the Hub and SmartPlugs, stick on your sensors and you’re good to go! The systems are designed for the way people really live. You can monitor and control your system online or on your mobile which means you can use AlertMe wherever you are; at work, on the go or even on the beach!

AlertMe can offer you a wide range of energy-saving features right now. All our kits come with SmartPlugs which allow you to control appliances automatically and conveniently. For example, you can automatically switch off appliances left on standby, protect against dangerous appliances such as irons or heaters left on, and receive alerts to your mobile phone when critical appliances are turned off or lose power (no more coming home to ruined food because the freezer was disconnected).
