What type of energy user are you?

You’re buying a new house, which of the following would you go for?

A An off-grid wood cabin in a beautiful remote valley where I can be totally self-sufficient.
B An 8 bedroom mansion with all the mod cons, air conditioning, a heated pool and all of life’s luxuries.
C A period home with beautiful sash windows and all the original features.
D Somewhere that’s just right for me, with double glazing and good insulation, without any wasteful extras.

To relax in the evening I like to:

A Eat a healthy salad with a wheatgrass smoothie and then meditate in a darkened room.
B Kick back with my favourite TV shows on my 50 inch wide screen TV, tunes pumping from the stereo and with the gas fire roaring.
C Head out for drinks with friends and then come in to flick on the TV and relax in my cosy warm house.
D Cook myself a nice dinner, and make sure everything in the kitchen is powered off before I switch on the TV and kick back for the night.

On a freezing winter’s night what do you do:

A My house is so well insulated and energy efficient I don’t even notice.
B Turn the heating up, fire up the gas fire and snuggle up in bed with an electric blanket.
C Leave the heating on all through the night so I don’t get cold.
D Dig out my extra warm blanket, put on some super warm clothes and make myself a hot water bottle. night.

To keep my clothes fresh and clean:

A Wash as much of my clothes as I can by hand then hang them out to dry in the fresh air.
B Wash it at 60 degrees to make sure it’s all sparkling and then straight into the tumble dryer.
C Separate all my washing out and always wash my delicates separately.
D Wash everything at 30 degrees in my energy efficient washing machine and then hang it out to dry naturally.
